Clear Plastic Masks: SXSW Preview and Song Premiere

I saw Nasvhille band Clear Plastic Masks open for White Denim at the Troubadour and whatever misconceptions I may have had about how the band would sound (based solely on their name), completely went out the window.

They were incredible. It was raucous rock, played loose and scrappy the way only a very talented group of musicians can.

My favorite track before the show was the slow burner “Baby Come On”, but the band’s longer jams got my attention in a live setting.

I’m happy to premiere a new track, “Outcast”, which will be included on the band’s debut full-length album, “Being There”, released May 6 on Serpents & Snakes Records.

They’ve got some real chops and, if you’re headed to Austin for SXSW, don’t miss them. Angelenos, they’re also playing The Echo on April 25.
