Free Download: A Jokers of the Scene Remix Fit for the Apocalypse

Toronto’s dark clown princes of dance music, Jokers of the Scenehave a great track that like a great joke deserves to be told over and over and over again. Their “Killing Jokes” off their JOT5 EP (which they premiered on their Guest DJ set on KCRW) has a strong, spacious melody that’s been reworked by them and been remixed by several other artists.

The latest (possibly last?) version comes from Dutch producer Drvg Cvltvre, whose Doomdisco-edit has both ghostly atmospherics and a menacing thump that will make for good listening if the Mayan Calendar is right.
