Last spring, the Bay Area’s Afrolicious released their groovy Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation) produced “Pleasuretime“ EP. They’re starting off the new year with a couple of shows and DJ dates in Northern California and have offered up a brand new track of bouncy Afrobeat-inflected disco rhythms called “Crazy” as a Download Here.

Stream “Crazy“:

The track harkens back to the early days of Afrobeat you might find on a Strut compliation or the heat you’d find on the freaky Lagos Disco Inferno that came out a few years back. A skittery track that moves along like a 33 on 45, “Crazy” is an invitation to get loose and get down in an Afrolicious space where Highlife meets 70s NYC Nightlife.

It’s the first single off of the upcoming full length album, “California Dreaming“, set to be released this April.
