They’ve shared the first single from their 5th studio album, which was produced by Grammy-award winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen) and recorded over 10 days at Sonic Ranch, a pecan orchard in El Paso.
Singer Erika Wennerstrom’s powerhouse vocals — husky, soulful and commanding — anchor their blues-driven rock sound and she found inspiration in literary touchstones like Haruki Murakami and Jack Kerouac for her lyrics.
With a killer chorus, “Gates of Dawn” is a great entry point for their latest musical journey.
