KCRW DJs, Chris Douridas is always looking for new music. On a recent “fishing expedition”, as he calls it, he came across this band Isaac Delusion and started spinning their track “Midnight Sun”.

Chris was drawn to it because it “feels fresh” and it was “lyrically evocative”.

It’s a burst of sweetly-sung pop propelled by catchy beats. I was instantly addicted and I’ve listened to this track many a time since hearing it on Chris’ show!

Take a listen:

Isaac Delusion – Midnight Sun by Cracki Records !

He knew little about the band so I decided to do a little digging. The band and their label are based in Paris (and are apparently thrilled their music is being played in California!).

They’ve been steadily touring Europe and are making their way to the U.S. for CMJ in October. Their EP came out in January on a new label Cracki Records (formed in Dec 2011).

They have another EP on the way in October. Check out a preview, “Early Morning, below.
