Last weekend, THREE records from notable artists came out all at once – new Radiohead, James Blake and Kaytranada.

I listened to (and loved) all three but, if I’m honest with myself, there is one standout that I will be listening to on repeat: Kaytranada’s “99%”.

It is SO many different shades of good thanks to guest appearances from talented folks like Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, soul singer Craig David, LA-star-on-the-rise Anderson .Paak and more.

My favorite is the album closer, “Bullets”. It’s clear he saved the best for last, bringing in Little Dragon for a late game assist.

Jason hipped me to the producer last year. Born in Haiti and raised in Montreal, he’s remixed everyone from Missy Elliot and Pharrell Williams to Disclosure and Beyonce. He has been generating lots of buzz running up to the release of his debut and easily lived up to the hype.
