Hot Hot Heat burst onto the scene with the pop-punk perfection of the song “Bandages” years ago and their newest album, after two major label efforts, marks a return to the danceable energy that made them so compelling in the first place.

KCRW is launching our free, all ages “Summer Nights” music series with a live performance from Hot Hot Heat at One Colorado in Old Pasadena on June 12 and it’s a perfect time to check out their new material and hear some old favorites. It will also be semi-acoustic so it’s sure to be something special. ALSO, you can get a preview by streaming their new album in its entirety on KCRW.com now!

“Future Breeds” is coming out June 8 (on Dangerbird Records) andBuzzbands.la calls it “spastic and surprising, dance-punk that doesn’t follow any diagram.” Check it out here
