Dawn Landes is touring with Bryan Ferry and if his vote of confidence is not enough, I’m here to tell you that her album “Bluebird” is one of my favorite albums this year.

They’re touring through the West Coast soon, with an LA date on April 15th at Club Nokia, and we’ve snagged the premiere of the video for “Home” as a treat for our readers in advance of the show.

The video was directed by Thomas Aufort, and features the actress Diane Rouxel, who stars in the upcoming new Larry Clark film “The Smell Of Us”.

The Brooklyn-based singer has been a favorite of mine for years and “Bluebird” is a great album from start to finish. On an extremely windy LA night a few weeks ago, I hunkered down in my home and listened to it on repeat and discovered a new favorite track.

Check out “Cry No More” with special guest Norah Jones, and download it here.

Note: her album came out on Valentine’s Day and was notably her first release since her break up with fellow musician Josh Ritter. He made a great album about their break up as well. I guess heartache really does fuel great art.
