KCRW Exclusive: Quantic + Alice Russell – Look Around The Corner

KCRW is thrilled to premiere a track from a new collaboration we’re really excited about from Quantic and UK soul singer Alice Russell. Stream the track below and read a reaction from KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez:

Aliceand Quantic collaborated in the past (check out “Sweet Calling”) but this is the first time they’ve joined forces for a full album. They are the two biggest selling artist on the excellent Tru Thoughts label so it was bound to happen!

They are backed by Quantic’s world-renowned band Combo Bárbaro and it was recorded in his adopted home city of Cali, Colombia. Pure sweet soul blues and gospel meet Latin swing!

“Look Around The Corner” is the first single and the title track. The album will be out April 3. We hope to see them touring the U.S. in March. Stay tuned!
