Although school’s back in session and the sun is setting earlier, like other local nu-synth-pop acts of note, Goldroom’s vibe is totally Endless Summer.
And in the interest of stretching the lazy haze just a little bit longer, Goldroom have released a new single off “Embrace“.
The slowed tempo and wind swept romanticism of “Adalita” recalls Aeroplane’s classic remix of Friendly Fire‘s “Paris,” as featured Australian vocalist Chela plaintively recalls some dreamy Before Sunrise-esque time spent with the track’s namesake.
It’s an excellently warm cut that feels as familiar and charming as the late summer, Santa Ana wind painted sky, sun setting on the Pacific.
