If you’ve been tuned into KCRW the past fews days, you’ve probably heard it and know that it’s straight up, infectious soulful pop that picks up right where last year’s Ritual Union stopped.
The single is called “Sunshine,” and it is truly a perfect summer jam. It starts with a sparkle and a shimmer like Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver“ and then proceeds to shuffle and chop in all the right places in that familiar Little Dragon way, but the more self assured they become the more sonically playful they’ve become.
And frontwoman/R&B pixie Yukimi is just fearless.
The single is out now on Peacefrog and will make your holiday week bump fersherrrrr.
