Nite Jewel.) At the risk of being all too punny, she is totally one of LA’s diamonds in the rough.

Despite putting out consistently good material on rad labels and doing interesting things like performing Kraftwerk’sComputerworld electro classic “” in its entirety from start to finish, on her own, live in front of an audience, Nite Jewel has mostly remained an underground LA darling.

Intent on doing things in personal and artful way, she is celebrating her recent signing to indie juggernaut Secretly Canadian, by releasing a sweet new R & B single called “She’s Always Watching You” on 7″, which when released in early December will each come with a handwritten letter from Ramona.

The only thing that would be better is having her pass it to someone to pass to you in the middle of class while the teacher is writing on the chalkboard.
