Marlon Williams: New Tracks and Covers Live on MBE

Marlon Williams. WOW. What a voice.

He’s got the timeless vocals of Roy Orbison, the looks of a very tall James Dean (white tee with rolled up sleeves and all), and a New Zealand accent to boot.

But comparisons aside, Marlon exists on a plane all his own and deserves every bit of praise thrown his way.

“Make Way For Love” is his first album of ALL original material and was birthed from the ashes of his breakup with fellow singer Aldous Harding. It’s a gorgeous album and he stopped by to share some songs in advance of its release this Friday.

He also threw in a couple covers — the Barry Gibb’s penned “Carried Away”, which was written for Barbra Streisand but released by Olivia Newton John (it takes guts to attempt those high notes).
