Michael Rosas became known to me as the frontman of the Costa Mesa band SMILE.

I was a huge fan, and their album “Girl Crushes Boy” was one of my top indie-rock albums of the 1990s. I would check them out live every chance I got.

SMILE seemed to disappear for a long time, but then all of a sudden they reunited for a few live dates last year (their show at The Casbah in San Diego was one of my top 5 live shows of 2013.)

Recently, Michael Rosas self released a solo four-song EP, which introduced me to what is becoming one of my most loved songs of late, “My Lover Keeps Me Warm”.

This track just tugs at my heartstrings, so I wanted to share it with you.

You can stream it below, and download the whole EP for free at Bandcamp.
