I’ve been waiting weeks to post a blog on Brooklyn band Milagres and their amazing song “Glowing Mouth” because I was afraid I couldn’t find the words to do it justice. I’m not a music writer after all, just a fan.

But the best way I could think of to describe it is as a sweeter Radiohead – with soaring howls reminiscent of Jim James on “Wordless Chorus.” Moodie indie rock perfect for the gloomy weather here in LA at the moment.

Stream “Glowing Mouth”

This is the title track to their album which will be out in September and every time Jason plays this, I love it more. Always a good sign.

The band is signed to Kill Rock Stars (also home to another one of my faves – Thao with the Get Down Stay Down)

I was so bummed to see I just miss them playing the Central in Santa Monica at the end of March, but hopefully they will be back around to the West Coast before long. Check here for tour dates in your part of the woods.
