Coachella is almost here y’all! Whether you’re hitting the desert roads while (naturally) blasting KCRW’s all Coachella Eclectic 24 stream, or hunkering down for some Couchchella vibes in the comfort of your own home – here are a handful of artists that should definitely be on your radar!

Friday, 4/14 & 21

Nora En Pure

Swiss/South African artist Nora En Pure is one of the rare DJ/producers working under a feminine moniker that is actually a female. A female that excels at producing house music as a matter of fact. Check out “Freedom Lives Within” from her latest E.P. Conquer Yosemite, it’s a tropicalia infused delight.

Saturday, 4/15 & 22

Daphni

If you’ve ever seen Dan Snaith perform as part of Caribou, you know that it’s church. To witness him DJ under his Daphni guise feels more like an intensely great meditation session… but with dancing.

Saturday, 4/15 & 22

Thundercat

Long before he became a major contributor to one of the best albums of the decade – Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” – Thundercat was a KCRW favorite. His recent single “Show You the Way” features some champion level assistance from the legends Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. Can you imagine the seriously awesome vibes that will materialize if these guys make a guest appearance (or appearances) at Coachella?!

Sunday, 4/16 & 22

Twin Peaks

Switching gears a bit for this one, Chicago’s Twin Peaks make deliciously infectious garage, and power pop tinged indie rock. Not to mention their now exceptionally relevant band name! I’ve not yet had the pleasure of seeing them live, but based on the amount of live material available on their Soundcloud page, I have a feeling that if we catch either of their Coachella sets we’re gonna have a real good time together.
