Today marks the highly anticipated release of psychedelic space-rocker Spiritualized‘s latest full length, “Sweet Heart Sweet Light“.

I’ve been giving the first single, “Hey Jane” a lot of spins on my show for the past few weeks.

The fuzzy guitar sets the mood but the use of the choir is what really puts the song over the top for me.

It’s got an unmistakable Velvet Underground/Lou Reed vibe (golden eraLou Reed, mind you, as opposed to Lou Reed of the “Golden Years”) and one of the best music videos of the year to boot.

Spiritualized will be performing live at the Wiltern on May 22 and you can catch a stream of the entire album in on our Album Preview page for a limited time.
