Purveyors of supremely warped and damaged synthpop, TOBACCO (birthed from the ugly head of Black Moth Super Rainbow) are back in time for that summer BBQ pool party where everyone drinks from a spiked punch that sends the party into full on zombie bloodbath twerkfest.

The single “Eruption (Gonna Get My Hair Cut At the End of the Summer)” is the first taste of a new full length, “Ulitma II Massage” out on Ghostly in May.

Like their previous singles, “Eruption…“ is catchy in the way that Butthole Surfers‘ late 90s hit “Pepper” and Beck‘s breakout “Loser” are.

TOBACCO takes a wicked driving pop groove and twists it into almost unrecognizable shapes, but you know it’s there.

Like some Ralph Steadman rendering of Christina Aguilera.

Nobody here gets lucky…here, everyone must get trippy.
