Jason Bentley premiered the track “Lights Go Down” by LA artist WAZ on Morning Becomes Eclectic and now we’re happy to offer it up as a free download!

It’s an uplifting pop anthemwith lots of oohs, heart-tugging guitar lines and a giant chorus –with a dash of the galloping folk that has been so ubiquitous lately.

For fans of Young the Giant and the Temper Trap as much as the Lumineers or Of Monsters and Men.

The song has all the makings of a hit, so you should grab it while you can.

It’s the title track of WAZ’s new EP, which will be out on August 26.

WAZ has been making music for some time — as Pete Yorn’s guitarist and a member of electro pop project Hot as Sun – but this is a welcome return to his solo work.

Jason calls him the “real deal” and you can see him live at Downstairs at Fifty Seven on September 4 at 9pm.
