In late July a fire from a blown transformer in a Downtown LA pallet yard spread into the studio of ceramicist Ben Medansky. The studio was destroyed, but out of the ashes came something unexpected. Now he's focused on rebuilding his studio -- with help from his friends who've donated through a GoFundMe site.
