Blood oranges are especially prized for their deep crimson flesh and robust flavor. Chef Akasha Richmond (Akasha, AR Cucina) in Culver City is finding new and interesting uses for them in seafood dishes, while Peter Schaner of Schaner Farms in Valley Center says they’re especially delectable this time of year.
