Every Tuesday I answer a question from a Good Food listener. You can email me a question, leave one on Facebook or add one in the comments section here. This week’s came from Real Food Digest:

Do you know of a good all natural truffle oil? I notice most of them use “flavor.”

I recently interviewed Patricia Wells, author of Simply Truffles. She recommends purchasing truffle juice or making your own truffle oil with real truffles. Truffle oil that you find in the store is always a manufactured product and is made with science, not truffles! You can buy truffle juice from D’Artagnan. If you live in the LA area they sell it at Surfas in Culver City. If not you can order it on line. You can also buy California truffles from David West this time of year at the Santa Monica Farmers Market.
