Ask Evan: Where is the Best Fried Chicken in West LA?

Every Tuesday I answer a question from a Good Food listener. You can email me a question, leave one on Facebook or add one in the comments section here. This week’s question comes from Liz:

Evan, do you know where I can get delicious fried chicken in the West LA area? I’m not too fond of Honey’s or Roscoe’s. Please let me know!

Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken
Does Hollywood count as West LA?  If so, then give Wood & Vine a try.  Their Chicken and Waffles is easily their most popular dish.  If eating from a truck counts then try to find where the Ludo Truck is cruising.  Honey’s Kettle Fried Chicken in Culver City has lots of fans.  They mix honey in their batter.  For old fashioned diner/coffee shop fried chicken, I stop at Pann’s on La Tijera on my way home from LAX.  I used to go to Dinah’s on Sepulveda near the airport but had a not so great experience the last time I went. If you’re willing to go east of La Cienega then the world of Korean Fried Chicken opens its arms to you.  Some popular places to order Tong Dak are O B Bear, and The Prince.
