Good Food Market Report correspondent Gillian Ferguson is back at the Santa Monica Farmers Market, this time with “fruit detective” David Karp. They’re talking about greengage plums, which Karp is cultivating with Andy's Orchard in Morgan Hill. The bulk of their harvest will be arriving at the market on August 14th.

She also speaks with pastry chef Dyan Ng of auburnon Melrose about the process of lacto-fermenting these plums for use in various desserts.
