Renee’s Pot

This is a beautiful, heavy French Copper Confiture pan. It’s for making Jam.

It belonged to my very good friend Renee. I recently lost Renee to cancer. She was an extraordinary woman, a person who lived more than anyone I know. Her engagement with life took up real space. She loved to eat and to cook and was very good at both. She threw herself into cooking and entertaining with verve, yes verve, commitment and style.

I miss her and am grateful that I get to learn how to make jams and preserves using her canning equipment and this beautiful pot.
