L.A. Kitchen closes its doors

The non-profit L.A. Kitchen recently shuttered due to a lack of funding. Founded in 2013, the kitchen fed thousands of low-income seniors with excess produce while hiring and training formerly incarcerated and homeless individuals.

Founded in 2013, the kitchen fed thousands of low-income seniors with excess produce while hiring and training formerly incarcerated and homeless individuals. Founder Robert Eggerjoins Evan by phone to discuss his organization’s accomplishments as well as the factors that led to the closure.
