Happy Friday! This tiki cocktail from Serena Herrick of Allumette in Echo Park is sure to start the weekend right. It comes from her menu of 3-4 rotating tiki-inspired cocktails that change every couple of weeks so that the bar staff has time to test out new products.
If you don’t want to make it yourself, try it at Happy Hour for $7 which is from 6:00-7:30 and 10:30-12:00. All other times it costs $12.

Life’s Rich Pageant
3/4 oz black strap rum
3/4 oz Dominican rum
1/4 oz velvet falernum
1/5 oz amontillado sherry
3/4 oz fresh lime
3/4 oz passion fruit cinnamon syrup (equal parts strong cinnamon Demerara syrup and puréed passion fruit)
Shake, strain over crushed ice. Top with grated cinnamon.
