I don't know the exact demographics of this broadcast, but sadly, I think I need to say this before I get going: Years ago, there was a show on American television called Webster. It was a sit-com about a tiny and adorable African American boy – the eponymous "Webster" – who was adopted by an older, rich, white couple. I may be getting the details slightly wrong, but that was the gist. It was a pretty simple formula: Webster got himself into mischief each week; he and his adopted parents all learned important lessons as a family; that sort of thing....
