In the Ardoyne area of north Belfast, there were 99 people killed from both sides of the fighting between 1969 and 1997. Two-thirds of them had pupils at the Holy Cross Primary Schools, one for girls and one for boys. In a collage of voices, neighbors both Catholic and Protestant, nationalist and loyalist tell stories of growing up in the area during decades of fighting.
Child of Ardoyne was produced by Alan Hall. It was a Falling Tree production for BBC Radio 3. It was awarded the 2012 Sony Radio Academy Gold award in the News Feature category.

PIE FEST CANCELED
KCRW has decided to cancel this Sunday’s Good Food PieFest. We are aware of the campus protests at UCLA and believe it’s in the best interest for all to cancel.
PieFest is a beloved KCRW community event. As such, we will be looking into a possible reschedule and share the details as soon as we can.
