Adventure into Paul Bergmann’s ‘Los Angeles’: Exclusive Download

Written by

Recording for Fairfax Recordings (the local label on an equally-impressive upswing, with previous releases from the likes of Amason, Broncho, Gotye, and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, and based out of the former Sound City studios), Bergmann gently plucks his acoustic guitar, strums an occasional electric guitar, and croons in that beautifully melancholic tone characteristic of Leonard Cohen and Lee Hazlewood.

His latest release is a five-track EP that covers a fair amount of ground, from highly dramatic R&R rave-ups to folksy campfire-ready jams (including a duet with Warpaint’s Emily Kokal). But the EP culminates with “Los Angeles,” a wistful ballad exploring the emotional depth of our fair city, which we are happy to be sharing with our KCRW family as an exclusive download!

The Romantic Thoughts EP is available now at retailers everywhere.
