In a really odd but fortuitous (and totally awesome) turn, automaker Scion has really been a champion of music culture in LA and across the country. With a series of Podcastable radio shows and free music events all the time, Scion have become real patrons to the arts, in that old school Renaissance way.
They regularly release EPs (by artists like Moodymann, Omar S., Dam Funk, Poolside, etc.) and great samplers/compilations featuring all new music by up and coming artists…
The latest one “Swimming with Sharks Vol.2: Sharkwaves” features stellar brand new jams from local heroes Cosmic Kids, Them Jeans, Dirty Dave, Goldroom, and James Del Barco.
