KCRW Exclusive: Finneas performs 'Die Alone'

Finneas O'Connell, the songwriter, producer and artist has had the kind of year that comes along once in a generation. Writing, co-writing and producing for his sister Billie Eilish, the two of them have generated over 25 billion streams worldwide across streaming audio and video services. They are the undisputed biggest story of the year in music.

Things hit mass density as Billie's debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? came out this past March, written, co-written and produced by Finneas. What followed shortly thereafter was a career defining set at Coachella, and more recently a stunning debut on SNL. While touring constantly and playing ever larger sold out venues around the world, Finneas has continued to write and produce for other artists, and amazingly found time to write, produce and record his own songs - which in themselves have racked up nearly 100mm streams worldwide,

Finneas stopped by KCRW this month for a conversation and live performance. Here he shares this exclusive performance of "Die Alone", inspired by the dramatic and deadly fires that occurred in Los Angeles at the end of 2018.
