Xu Xu Fang — “Noir State Beach”

The start and stop of Xu Xu Fang’s “Noir State Beach” is seductive and hypnotic. The transition between the rock rumbling and the dreamy chorus really grabs your attention. A blast of pyschedelic droney rock with a sweetly sung middle. Like a raspberry filled chocolate bon bon.

The LA-based quintet recorded it in Mar Vista and it’s their first new work in nearly six years.

They have a full record on the way later this year featuring contributions from Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman and others.

It’s currently available as a free download as well!
