It’s been a couple years since we checked in with the Colombian alt-rockers Diamante Eléctrico. They’ve been keeping busy though, releasing two great albums, performing at Coachella, and growing their fan base feverishly.
Today we bring you the premiere of their latest video for a single entitled, “Oro,”
Shot entirely on Super 8 film in Mexico, the result is a vintage looking short that builds around the idea of losing love; a theme that the chorus repeats on a catchy refrain.
Frontman, Juan Galeano had a specific vibe and feel they were after with this video. “It’s a psychedelic trip around the most melancholy part of the soul, inspired by the love that auteurs, Jodorowsky and Buñuel have communicated through their unique eyes in their films.”
