Despite, or perhaps even because of global warming, LA's lush dance music ecosystem is a wild green rainforest thriving in the midst of the Western desert. On the edge of that rainforest oasis, where the vegetation meets the desert, as inscrutable as some floating Kubrickian monolith is Suzanne Kraft. Between 2011's Green Flash (for Running Back) and this year's Horoscope (for LA based Young Adults,) Kraft has found a sweet spot between LA's yachty boogie vibes,Scando-Space Disco, and early Warp Records releases. On Saturday night, he (that's right) swung by the studio and graced us with a short but sweet DJ set of rare gems.
