Fanatics!
Tonight we celebrate someone’s birthday. Yes, indeed. 02-12-09 (1809 that is)--the birthday of America’s sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln. He is my personal favorite president. I like what he stood for. I believe that he must have known that he was not going to have a long life. He gave his life for Civil Rights.
So, tonight, we rock the jam session with songs about Lincoln, freedom and forward movement of humans. If you look over the set, this collection could work any time but I think in this context, it’s a great way to remember this very great and brave man.
On Sunday, I will turn fifty years of age. I will be in Washington DC on that day. Two shows. I will be back in Los Angeles next week so we can all be together live. I don’t know what that show will be yet but I think I have the first song, that’s usually the hardest one to come up with.
