KCRW Broadcast 310

Fanatic! I do hope you get a chance to listen to this fantastic grouping of tunes we have prepared for you.

I imagine you are wondering why we have not featured any of that new live Devo record that came out a few weeks ago. Not the one we were playing a few weeks ago but this one that has come out since: http://www.discogs.com/Devo-Hardcore-Devo-Live/master/785268

I have not heard a second of it. Hopefully, it arrives to me this week and I can plug it into next week’s show.

I have been getting in a lot of new music that I think you will really like but the thing that challenges me is that it doesn’t sound like cold weather music. In fact, some of these shows have been feeling spring, late spring. I try to pick music by temperature/light cycle when I can. On the other hand, maybe it’s a good idea to challenge all that and see where it goes. I do think that we are going to have some amazing shows happening as the weather gets warmer.

We have been playing a lot of Feeding Tube Records stuff lately. Good label, good people running it. Very worthwhile to check them out: http://feedingtuberecords.com/

Mike Vest of Bong, Blown Out, 11 Paranoias, Haikai, No Ku, etc. Has another Blown Out record coming out soon. Here is where to pre-order. I just did. Can’t wait. https://goldenmantra.bandcamp.com/releases

Also, the band Asian Women On The Telephone have a Bandcamp page with a ton of records on it. I have been listening to one or two a day and they are really cool. Here is where to check them out: http://asianwomenonthetelephone.bandcamp.com/album/awott

Here’s where to get all that good Alex Cameron information: http://alexcamerononline.net.au/Music.html

The fantastictivity of the chosen tracks below need to be experienced by your ears as soon as possible!

Tune in and STAY FANATIC!!!
