Jul 1, 2022

Orange [Blood], Ginger [Root], and Greentea [Peng] are some of the flavors we’re bringing to the picnic on the first Friday in July, which also happens to be the kick off of National Ice Cream Month.

Huntington Beach based Cameron Lew aka Ginger Root is bringing delicious notes of self-described “aggressive elevator soul” on his new track “Loneliness.” This is the first single off his next EP, due out September 9.

And while we won’t be throwing him in the pool anytime soon, we absolutely turn up the sounds of Barry Can’t Swim who’s mixing jazz inspired keys and strings with electronic production on “Sonder.” His new four-track EP is out now!

Plus big time summer heat on “Wêrê Wêrê Magne” off an LP on the archival record label Numero Group. This one brings sounds out of West Africa that mesh local harmonies, 60's French Yeye and American R&B. Welcome to your weekend!
