We honor the profound musical legacy of Angela McCluskey, perhaps best remembered for her effortlessly cool vocals on Télépopmusik’s ubiquitous 2003 hit, “Breathe.” The Scottish born singer-songwriter was a fixture of 1990’s LA with her band Wild Colonials, usually found performing at scene-centric venues like the original Café Largo and Molly Mallone’s. She was also a familiar presence on the airwaves of KCRW, performing many times throughout the years as a solo artist and with Wild Colonials. We’ve rounded up a selection of her appearances and a more in depth reflection on her overall musical contributions here.
