Inspired by personal sacrifice, failed relationships, and missed opportunities, Gloria Ann Taylor would create some of the most honest soul music of the ‘70s, masterfully blending gospel, northern soul, and funk to lay down the early roots of disco.
But she decided this music industry was not for her and stepped out of the limelight. In 2016, she stepped back into the studio after a long hiatus and recorded 3 songs, but sadly passing before the completion.
