Eagle-eyed readers will note the influence of our Best Of The Year (So Far) on this week’s chart, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of newness to revel in. In fact, a couple of our chart entries are so new they’re not even on Spotify yet!

Long time KCRW favorites, the LA-based Chicano Batman, have made the biggest impression of the week with their sublime new double single “Darkstar b/w Pastel Sunrise.” Rounding out the Top 10 with more tantalizing singles are Omar Apollo, Damon Albarn, and Quantic teaming up with the inimitable Afro-Columbian artist Nidia Góngora.
