Dubbed as the “Diva of the People,” Gavin Turek has been feeling good and thinking it’s time to dust off her “Disco Boots,” stepping out into her signature dance-funk sound with a lot of, ahem, soul (sole?). You will find the track on her forthcoming follow-up to her debut album Madame Gold.
“‘Disco Boots’ is a song you listen to when you need to put on a lip, throw on your boots and go dancing to shake off a relationship,” says Gavin. “It was the last song I wrote for the new album – it was that missing piece, connecting the sonics of disco and funk in a way that was both familiar and undeniably fresh.”
