Japanese vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita is based in Berlin and is also a composer and producer. Using the traditional mallets on his instrument, as well as a violin or cello bow, Fujita deftly uses his intriguing instrument to embody his ethereal and textured pieces. On "Moonlight," he creates shimmer by placing bead strings on the vibraphone bars. It's from his album Apologues.
