A group of tweens from Cork, Ireland calling themselves Kabin Crew join forces with a similarly minded crew from nearby Lisdoonvarna to produce “The Spark.”

The New York Times (with a heavy assist from TikTok) has identified a strong contender for song of the summer. Click here for the delightful story behind “The Spark,” an undeniable force conceived by a group of Irish tweens. Whether or not it’s actually the song of the summer very much remains to be seen. Either way, the song is more fun when experienced as part of a specially curated DJ set, so that’s where we come in.
