Actors spend a lot of time worrying about which headshot to use. They'll fret over the right smile or eyebrow angle — they'll wonder if the jeans are too casual or if the shirt is too "young dad" —or maybe it is too young dad and they're just not ready to go for those parts and give up the boyfriend roles. I know an actress who basically focus-grouped her headshot — through a Facebook post, which was admirably efficient — trying to pinpoint a specific age and personality.
