All Signs Go for First Private Flight to Space Station

Hosted by

America's government-funded Space Shuttle Discovery made its final flight today — from the Kennedy Space Center, over Washington and the National Mall -- to a museum at Dulles International Airport. Other shuttles will go to New York and Los Angeles while one stays in Florida. Meantime, NASA has scheduled the first private rendezvous with the orbiting space station for the end of this month. Eric Berger is space and science reporter for the Houston Chronicle.
