The primary election for mayor of Los Angeles is now less than a month away. The two top vote-getters will then run against each other in the May 21 citywide election.

KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis hosts this week’s Friday Mixer with Gene Maddaus of the LA Weekly and Dakota Smith with the LA Daily News.

They discuss star-studded fundraisers, snarky bets between candidates, and how candidates oppose the half-cent sales tax measure but propose to hire more firefighters and police officers.
