Delegates are descending on Cleveland this week to attend the Republican National Convention, which begins Monday. What’s it like to be a delegate?

First of all, it’s expensive. Delegates have to pay their own way and cover the costs of their hotels. That can be about $3500, said Alexis Edelstein a Democratic delegate.

Then there are security concerns.

And then, the question of whether you will vote for your party’s nominee even if you had pledged to support a different candidate originally.
