The quiet and remote vacation town of Idyllwild is nestled in the brush-filled San Jacinto Mountains. There are only four roads to get into town, and two of them are damaged from heavy rainfall. Highway 243 is completely closed, and Highway 74 is only partially open. As wildfire season approaches, some residents are concerned about their escape routes off the mountain.
