How tough it is to coordinate all the hands working to solve LA homelessness

There are 66,000 people experiencing homelessness in LA County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, local officials have been scrambling to get some of the most vulnerable unhoused residents into hotel rooms.

There are 66,000 people experiencing homelessness in LA County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, local officials have been scrambling to get some of the most vulnerable unhoused residents into hotel rooms. A federal judge recently ordered the local government to move thousands of people out of freeway encampments because of hazardous conditions there. How is all that being done? The City and the County of LA don’t seem to agree on a plan.
